What’s The Buzz About JasperAI - Freelancers Hub

When we were young, we often heard that by 2050 there would be flying cars. Whether or not this will come to fruition remains to be seen. What is certain, however, is that Artificial Intelligence will continue to advance in the years to come. We have discussed AIs in our other blog post; if you’re interested, feel free to check that out.

According to Textcortex, 28% of companies use AI for marketing purposes.

Why do you think that is? Simple, AI can process and analyze massive amounts of data quickly and efficiently. It can determine what messages are the most successful and deliver them to the right people.

Today, we are gonna be talking about AI content writing. It is a form of automatic writing that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate content. AI content writing can be used to create blog posts, articles, product descriptions, and other types of content. And Jasper.AI is one such tool.

So, What’s Jasper.AI?

Jasper (formerly known as Jarvis) is a writing tool that utilizes the power of AI to create text content. It automatically generates long-form or short-form content based on the prompts you give.

Jasper’s most interesting and impressive part is its ability to create human-like content. While some AI content writing tools can be subject to incoherent and irrelevant outputs, Jasper outshines them.

Even if it produces irrelevant content which can cost credits (we will talk about credits later), you can easily flag those generated content to reclaim your lost credit. How cool is that? Let’s demonstrate some more pros of Jasper.

The Pros Of Jasper AI

We’ve used Jasper. Ai for a month, and here are a few things we found to be highly beneficial.

1. The “Commands” template is the star

The Commands template was introduced to Jasper in July 2022. Basically, the feature allows you to give Jasper instructions on what and how to write. It acts as if you’re instructing an assistant writer to write content for you based on how you want it to be written.

For example, if you want Jasper to write an ad copy for a real estate business, here’s what you can do:

Step 1:

Open a document in Jasper and select “Power Mode” at the very top of the document.

Step 2:

Select “Commands” and type ‘write an ad copy for the real estate business’ in the “Your command for Jasper” space.

Step 3:

Then, provide some background information in the “Do you have any background information for Jasper?” space. The background information can be anything, for example –

  • Your company’s name,
  • Description of your services,
  • Things you want to highlight in your ad copy

Step 4:

After providing the details simply click “generate” and boom. Jasper will create your ad copy in seconds. If you don’t like the outcome, you can play around till you get a satisfactory result.

At first, the command mode may confuse you, but once you get the hang of it, you should do just fine. However, you can attend the Bootcamp training sessions online for more efficiency and precision.

2. Jasper is immensely flexible, and it shows

When it comes to flexibility, Jasper surely knows how to do it flawlessly. Let me give you an example.

If you want to write a blog post, there are at least 3 ways to do so. You can either use the “One-Shot Blog Post” or create a blog in the “Workflow” section.

You can even use “Commands” to do the job for you. It’s all about mixing and matching and eventually figuring out which formula works for you.

Having an issue with grammar? Jasper has the solution as it has built-in Grammarly, which checks for grammar and spelling errors for fine-tuned writing. Jasper can also check plagiarism for you.

3. It’s versatile (including jasper art)

When you explore Jasper, you’ll know what this tool can actually do. Here are some (not all) things you can create:

  • Blog posts, titles, and meta descriptions
  • Website sub-headlines
  • Blog post outlines
  • Short paragraphs
  • Marketing ideas
  • Product/Service Description (E-commerce)
  • Cold Emails
  • Email marketing copies
  • Website copies
  • Social media captions
  • Ads/Sales copies
  • Topics for videos
  • Quora Answers
  • Questionnaires

Jasper can now create AI art as well. Just provide details of what you want your image to be about, and you’re good to go. However, this feature is very novel and in beta mode, so you may not get the desired outcome just yet.

4. You can do a lot with boss mode

Remember that Boss Mode is a premium plan for which you need to spend your money. However, you can use the 5-day free trial to see if it fits your goals.

Boss mode allows you to open up a doc in Jasper and start writing your content. You can select a topic, keywords, and other details on the left to make the results more personalized and not generic. You can also choose to avoid it if you want.

The highlight of Boss Mode is Power Mode. Power Mode is a feature where all the Jasper templates are listed on the left side of the document so that users can easily find and apply the template they need. Here’s an example:

If you are writing a blog post, on the left-hand side, you will find a tab where you will find all the essential templates such as Blog post outline, Title and meta description writer, Paragraph, etc. You can use all those separately to create a blog from scratch or the “One-Shot Blog Post” to create an entire article within 15 minutes or less.

The downside, however, is that there is limited input, so it can run out of ideas and produce repetitive content.

The Cons of Jasper AI

Okay, all fine and dandy, but what’s the catch, you may ask? Here are a few downsides we’ve found.

1. It can get repetitive if not given enough background information

Jasper ai, an artificial intelligence platform that helps businesses automate customer service, offers many advantages for businesses seeking to save time and money.

However, one of the cons of this platform is that if it is not given enough background information, it can become repetitive and provide users with the same answers multiple times.

This can be avoided by providing the system with enough information to respond intelligently. However, it can lead to customer dissatisfaction and decreased customer loyalty if not done.

2. It doesn’t provide highly-researched content

One of the main drawbacks is that it doesn’t provide highly-researched content. Jasper can only provide basic data, meaning that more in-depth research must be conducted by the user to create truly useful content.

This can be time-consuming and may limit the amount of content that can be created in a given time frame. Additionally, you should be aware that the accuracy of Jasper’s data is only as good as the data it is fed. Therefore we encourage you to double-check your findings if you anticipate the need for highly accurate information.

3. Plagiarism can cost you extra credit

If you are looking for a free plagiarism detection tool on Jasper, you will be disappointed. Jasper does not offer a free plagiarism detection tool but instead uses Copyscape for this purpose.

Copyscape is a paid service that charges by volume and uses a credit system. This makes it a good match for Jasper, as it allows users to pay for only the amount of plagiarism detection they need. Copyscape is an effective and reliable tool for detecting plagiarism, and it is worth the extra cost for those who need it.

4. You’re going to run out of credit very soon

To use the services provided by Jasper.AI, you must purchase credits. Credits are a form of virtual currency that can be used to pay for the services they use. The amount of credits needed depends on the type of service being used and the amount of data being processed.

Once you have purchased credits, you can use them to pay for the services. As you use more services and process more data, you will need to purchase additional credits to continue using the services provided by Jasper. AI.

If users do not purchase additional credits, they will eventually run out of credit and will no longer be able to use the services provided by Jasper. AI. By default, Jasper gives you 10,000 words credit for usage. If your word usage exceeds, you will need to pay for extra credits.

How To Write Articles With Jasper (2 Methods)

There are more than one ways to write an article. However, we will talk about 2 ways

that are most commonly used.

One Shot Blog Post

Now, you can create an article in under 15 minutes with One-Shot Blog Post. I use this whenever I need more time. You can even tweak your instructions the way you want. This template is much more creative than the other method.

However, you may need to cross-check the content as Jasper can tend to write a bit lazily.

Step 1:

Open a new document in Jasper. Click “Power Mode” from the top. Then select “One-Shot Blog Post” from the tab on the left side.

Step 2:

Now include the “Blog Topic.” In this section, you need to add the blog topic you intend to write about.

Step 3:

Next, you’ll need to add the “Tone of voice.” The tone of voice means how you would like your article’s overall tone. For instance, if you’re writing an article for an organization, your article’s tone should be formal. Similarly, for casual posts, you can write with a casual tone.

Step 4:

Now, add the “Intended audience.” Using this, you can target the type of audience/readers. For example, if you are writing an academic article, the intended audience would be students, teachers, and parents.

Step 5:

Now, click “Generate AI Content” to get results.

Blog Post Workflows

Blog Post Workflows - Buzz About JasperAI - Freelancers Hub

With this workflow, you can easily generate a 600-word article. I use this whenever I need to write a lengthy article. The good thing about this template is that it automatically generates the blog’s outline, and according to that outline, it creates the article.

The only downside is that the outlines are generic and you may need to tweak them to your liking. Also, the workflow feels rigid compared to the One-Shot Blog Post.

Step 1:

Open a new document in Jasper. Click “Power Mode” from the top. Then select “Blog Post” from the “Workflow” section on the left tab.

Step 2:

Under the “Blog Post Intro Paragraph” section, type the “Blog post title,” “Audience,” and “Tone of voice,” as I have demonstrated before. Then click “Generate.” If you’re happy with the generated content, click the “Next” button to proceed.

If you didn’t, however, like the generated content, then click “Generate” again. Keep in mind that every new generation will cost you credits, so choose wisely.

Step 3:

Now Jasper will automatically generate the blog post outline. Click “Next” if you like the content; otherwise, click “Generate” to create a new outline.

Step 4:

Now comes the “Paragraph Generator,” where Jasper will again automatically generate content based on the outline you have chosen. Continue by clicking “Next.” Then repeat the process till all the outlines are covered. Remember, you can always choose “Generate” if you don’t like the outcome.

Step 5:

After Jasper finishes generating paragraphs for your outlines, it will take you to the “Blog Post Conclusion Paragraph.”

Type the main points you want to highlight, including a call to action and the tone of voice to complete the process. Et Voila, you just wrote an article.

My Thoughts

As a writer myself, I enjoy writing on Japer. It helps me save time and gives some well-written output when I’m experiencing writer’s block.

However, I don’t rely on Jasper entirely when writing long content. I will do plenty of research and use them in my content as references. I believe that letting Jasper an entire article by itself can sometimes make the content robotic, which I avoid like plaque. I add necessary citations, too, so that’s something Jasper can’t do yet. But overall, I like Jasper more than any other AI writing tools I have used.

What I don’t like is the pricing and too few credits given with the Boss Mode plan. Trust me; those 50K words go by when you’re trying to create stellar content. So, the price could be slightly lower, in my humble opinion.

I give Jasper 4.5 stars.
